I want to create a memorable, personalized real estate experience for my buyers and sellers by putting their needs first. Few life experiences resemble an emotional “roller-coaster ride” more than navigating through a real estate transaction. My job is to remove the fear, guide you on your journey and add some fun to the process!
You should expect more from your real estate professional. My promise to you: Being prepared. Committed to excellence and change. Clear communication. Active listener. Attentive to details. Skilled negotiator. Honest and fair decision maker. Growth mindset. Lifelong learner. Staying relevant. Over 90% of my business comes from repeat clients and trusted referrals – I am genuinely grateful and humble to serve my “clients for life” for over twenty years. For me, it is all about the relationships.
I am a southern gal, born in Orlando, Florida. After college at Furman University in Greenville, SC, I began my corporate sales career in Atlanta and New Orleans. A job moved me to the Bay Area in 1984 and I settled in the east bay in 1993, raising my four children in the Greenbrook neighborhood in Danville. In 1997, I switched from the corporate sales track to launch my full-time real estate business. What a great decision! I feel fortunate to continue running my thriving business today that I truly enjoy.
My hobbies include golf, reading, travel, photos/scrapbooking, sewing, movies, hiking, jazzercise, tennis, bunko, cooking, and watching bay area sports teams. My two favorite vacation spots are the Florida beaches and Lake Tahoe. I married John Van Riper in 2015, I still call Danville home, and together we have 7 grown children, 5 grandchildren and kitty Ginger. We are empty-nesters and have rightsized into a cozy single story.
